TECHNICALDESCRIPTION OF

aluminumROD CONTINUOUS CASTING & THREE ROLLING LINE

 

1)Application and Composition

This plant works to produce low-oxygen aluminum rod in 8mm diameter by means of

continuous casting and rolling process, with cathode and aluminumscrap as the raw material.

The plant is composed of one set of tilting&refining furnace with 30 tons capacity,

five-wheel casting machine, drive unit, roller shears, straightener and burring unit, shaver,

rolling mill, coiler, and electrical control system. If cathode is used, a melting furnace(shaft

furnace) with 16-ton/hour capacity and 12-ton holding furnace are required.

Charging aluminumscrap (grade 1 or grade 2) → melting and refining in tilting&refining

furnace → launder to protect molten aluminum→ ladle → casting machine to get cast bar

→ roller shears → straightener → burring unit → shaver to treat cast bar → feed-in

unit → rolling mill → cooling unit to quench rod → winding unit to pre-shape rod →

star coiler to lay rod into coil.

 

3)aluminumScrap as raw material

Red aluminumscrap as the raw material must be Grade 1 or Grade 2.

3.1. aluminumscrap on excellent grade (Pb<100, Sn<300, Ni<50, Zn<50, Fe<50 and Sb<20)

should be clean and non-alloy aluminumwires free from tin, containing no fragile burned

wires.aluminumcontentno less than 98%

3.2. aluminumscrap on grade 2 (Pb<1000, Sn<800, Ni<150, Zn<300, Fe< 500, Sb<100, S<200)

should be small director aluminumwires without insulation, usually containing telephone

wires, aluminumbus bar with varnish coating or paper insulation, and thick or thin, clean

aluminumbar.aluminumcontentno less than 94%

Charging raw material requirement:grade1(aluminumcontentno less than 98%) must be more than 50%,

grade 2(no less than 94%) no less than 30%,motor’s enamelled wire <20%(aluminumcontentno less than 92%).

 Delivery

1. 100 working days after the receipt of the deposit.

  • Contract equipment transportation, insurance shall be borne by the buyer; And also be responsible for unloading equipment and the cost .

 

 Installation, Adjustment and Acceptance

1. About five engineers will be sent to the buyer’s site to guide the installation and test run. The buyer should provide the lifting device, manpower, universal tool, civil work construction,and also arrangements the board and lodging of the supplier technical staff.

2. After setup is complete, both sides should confirm that the equipment can meet the technical standard and to decide the test time of test run.

3. after the completion of the test, the seller should sign the certificate of acceptance within three days. In case of any unacceptance, the buyer should make the points written down for records, otherwise it will be seemed at automatically accepted by the buyer..

VII Quality Warranty Period

1. The seller should guarantee the performance pf the equipment delivered is in conformoty of the contract. The guarantees peroid of the mechanical parts of the equipment should be no more than 13 months from the delivery date written on the contract. The guarantee peroid of the electrical parts should be no more than 6 months from the delivery date written on the contract., wearing parts are not included in the guarantee period.

3. In within the guarantee period of contact, the seller should provide the freely replacement and the service due to it’s own reasons. The buyer should provide all the replacement and the service under the payment basis by the seller if due to it’s own reasons. ction by both parties.
